Shamanic medicine drums

There is much written and much that I can tell you about the medicine drum - about hemispheric synchronisation, about the rapid calming of brain activity, about how the beat of the drum reflects the heartbeat of Mother Earth. And there are a lot of people out there birthing drums! I guess you have been drawn to me for a reason. It's a big decision. Let's chat, and see if the vibration feels right.

If it does feel right, we can birth your drum for you.....or guide you in person to birth your own drum, either at one of our workshops, or on a one-to-one basis.

We birth drums from buffalo, horse, elk and deer rawhide in a traditional way. All our hides are ethically sourced and prepared by hand in ceremony. You can find guidance on selecting a hide here.

We mostly work on a commission basis, but occasionally have a drum available and ready to post - please contact me with your requirements. 

Rattles are powerful tools for shifting stagnant & negative energies.

We hand stitch the rattle head in various shapes from a variety of ethically sourced hides before matching it to its handle. We only use the thickest hides, meaning our rattles are very resilient to playing in damp and humid environments, including the Sweat Lodge. 

Once dried, the rattle head is filled with crystal chips, aligned to particular chakras or a direction of the Medicine Wheel. That's the physical aspect of rattle birthing - more than that, it is a deeply spiritual process, rooted in ceremony and prayerful intent.
